Andersen Racing's Krohn
Sews Up F2000 Championship
By Winning Again Sunday at Mosport;
It's Team's Third Victory in 24 Hours

BOWMANVILLE, Ontario, Canada, Aug. 24
- Andersen Racing's Anders Krohn led
every lap to win Sunday's F2000 Championship Series race at Mosport
International Raceway, and in the process unofficially sewed up the series championship
even though there are two races remaining on the schedule.

Driving for the factory Van Diemen team in the series, which is presented by
Hoosier Racing Tire, the 20-year-old driver from Sandnes, Norway started
second to Conor Daly, but he passed Daly with an inside move going into Turn 8 on
the first lap and was never again headed in the non-stop race. Krohn's No. 9 is
sponsored by Trallfa Industries, Colosseum Dental and Kruse Smith, while the
Palmetto, Fla.-based Andersen Racing team is sponsored by Allied Building
Products Corp.

Krohn went on to post a whopping 8.846-second victory over Daly at the line
for his second triumph of the weekend, as he also won Saturday's F2000 race
here. Kyle Marcelli placed third.

Sunday's victory was Krohn's seventh of the year. In addition to his two
victories this weekend, he also won the pole on Saturday with a new track record,
and he set the fastest race lap both Saturday and Sunday on the 2.459-mile,
10-turn road course.

It was the team's third victory within 24 hours, as Peter Dempsey won the
Star Mazda race at Mosport yesterday too. It fielded 11 cars in all this
weekend: five Star Mazda cars and four F2000 cars at Mosport, and two Firestone Indy
Lights cars at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif.

Two other Andersen Racing drivers finished in exactly the same position they
started in Sunday's 26-car F2000 race.

Starting and finishing fourth, just as he did on Saturday, was Andersen
Racing's Jonny Baker of Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire, England. His Van Diemen is
sponsored by Allied Interior Products. He had a 0.475-second advantage over
the fifth-place driver, Chris Miller. Unofficially Baker remains second in
the driver point standings by one point over Marcelli, 453 to 452.

Andersen Racing's Doug Prendeville of Whippany, N.J., started 11th and
finished 11th on Sunday with his car, which carries the colors of Allied Building
Products and Restart Communications.

The team's representative in the Masters Class, Scott Willard of Weston,
Conn., withdrew his BroadReach Partners No. 14 from Sunday's race after being
involved in a crash on Saturday. After assessing the damage, Willard and the team
decided to take their time making repairs, so Willard's next event will be
the season-ending doubleheader at New Jersey Motorsports Park Sept. 20-21.

Krohn's post-race quote follows:

Anders Krohn: "I got the lead from Conor on the inside going into Turn 8 on
the first lap. I set the fastest lap, and won by over 8 seconds.

"I only passed one or two lapped cars, and they weren't a problem. I was
able to drive my own race. There were no full-course yellows during the 18 laps.
It was great!

"Andersen Racing does everything right. The car was spot-on today. Marc
[Maurini, his engineer] and Chuck [Lessick, his lead mechanic] work so hard, as
does everybody on the team.

"Winning the championship means a great deal to me. It's something I've been
dreaming about. It's a fantastic feeling. It's also great to give Dan
[Andersen, the team co-owner] and the guys another championship."
